Erik only eats puffs

Growing - without eating

This is Erik after his attempt to feed himself.

Erik is growing up......I wish he wouldn't (although leaving this whole separation anxiety/stranger anxiety thing wouldn't make me sad), I love his little chubbiness! He wants to be big - he doesn't like that I feed him. He has found "Puffs" and refuses to now eat anything else. I would not be surprised if his next word is "puff!" with an outstretched hand. I attached a video - but somehow it published itself in it's own blog so you can see it in the entry before this one.

He only wants to feed himself - but not baby food....regular food like.....

Popsicles!

I've given up and now just let him feed himself - but he still doesn't eat anything, and what does make his mouth also makes it into his ears, nose and fingernails.

He sits up Very straight now and prefers this to being on the ground. Even though on the ground he might eventually learn to crawl - he can't know everything that is going on if he's on the ground. Sitting up he feels a part of the conversation, and if he is feeling left out he definitely lets us know!

It amazes me that this child has been with us almost a year, I can barely remember life without him.
